There is a moon inside every human being. Learn to be companions with it.

- RUMI

The Moon is a powerful symbol and reminder of our cyclic nature.

When we tap into our Inner Knowing, we discover how
all aspects of our life
also flow in cycle.

When we honor this, we can live a more gracious and purposeful life.

The Budding Moon rises each Spring.

It’s a time when we awaken and emerge from the darkness and death of winter.

We feel replenished - energetically, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

The Budding Moon signals that a new cycle is upon us and fresh beginnings abound.

This is the precise feeling I wish you to have as you leave an experience at Budding Moon.

You’ve taken time to rest, reflect and replenish yourself so that you may reenter your daily life and carry a new energy and wisdom forward.

Guiding Principles

The community and experiences at Budding Moon are guided by 7 main principles.

01 - Commit to intentional rest and reflection

Intentional rest and reflection is about slowing down and practicing non-doing on a regular basis, as well as turning inward for guidance and transformation. It is the bridge to a lived experience of unity, connection, wonder, joy, unconditional love, and creativity.

02 - Establish & nurture your connection to Self

A fulfilling life lies in relation. When we invest in a relationship with our Self, we can access a deeper sense of peace and genuinely connect with others. This is about discovering your authentic needs and desires and creating a deeper love for who you are.

03 - Know your nervous system & build its resilience

The state of your nervous system has a direct effect on your emotional, energetic, physical, and mental experiences. It’s vital to learn and gain an understanding of how your nervous system works based on the most up-to-date science, as well as practices that can help you to self-regulate and build the resilience of your nervous system.

04 - Access the present moment through embodiment

When we become present to our physical sensations, we have access to important information about our health, energy, thoughts, and emotions. Most of us spend our days navigating the world with only our heads and would benefit greatly by opening up to the wealth of information that comes through the body.

05 - Engage in play & happy-making activities

Play brings joy and fills up your cup. It is a state of being that is purposeless, fun, and pleasurable. Giving yourself permission to play with the joyful abandon of childhood relieves stress, boosts creativity, and deepens connection.

06 - Cultivate a self-directed life

This is about living the life you want to lead. It requires examining personal, familial, cultural, and religious learnings; bringing unconscious ways of being and thinking into your awareness; and developing a personal philosophy that liberates you from fear and suffering.

07 - Connect with natural rhythms and cycles

There are natural ebbs and flows to days, months, and years. There are periods of doing and (equally valuable) times of rest. Our culture encourages constant doing and achievement without balancing rest and recovery. This results in stress, burnout, and chronic illness. Reconnecting with natural rhythms and cycles opens us up to the health and wealth found in cyclical living.
