- an acute illness accompanied by fever, or inflammatory skin conditions
- any medical or health concernGuests using any medications, whether prescribed or over-the-counter, must consult a physician or pharmacist prior to the use of the sauna.
Pregnant women should consult a physician prior to the use of the sauna. Excessive body temperatures have a potential for causing fetal damage during the early stages of pregnancy.
Do not use the sauna or hot tub if your physician or health care provider advises against it.
Do not use the facility if you have recently consumed alcohol, drugs or medications.
Be aware that direct contact with sauna rocks, sauna heater, and/or hot tub stove may cause serious injury.
Never wear any jewelry in a sauna/hot tub and make sure your swimsuit does not contain any slimming panels or metal parts. Any metal may heat up and possibly burn skin.
Do not use any lotions, make-up or chemicals prior to hot tub or sauna session. These items may block pores and affect perspiration as well as stain the wood in the sauna or cause irritation to other guests.
Towels are required to be used in the sauna for cleanliness. Please place a towel down on the benches prior to sitting or laying down so that it can absorb any sweat or perspiration during your session. Towels can be provided on site at a cost should you not have one.
It is advisable to not eat at least one to two hours prior to your sauna session to avoid any ill feelings.
Shower prior to your sauna / hot tub session.
Be very careful when moving in the sauna or getting out of/moving in the hot tub, as the benches, floors and surrounding areas may be slippery.
Never throw water on the stones in the sauna when there are people near the stove, because hot steam may burn their skin.
Leave the sauna/hot tub immediately if you start to feel dizzy, nauseous, or lightheaded.
Do not hang clothes to dry in the sauna, as this may cause a risk of fire.
Essential oils should NEVER be applied directly to the heater or rocks. Most essential oils are flammable.
Nudity is permitted within the sauna for solo sessions. Otherwise a bathing suit is required.
Anyone entering the sauna and/or hot tub assumes full responsibility of their medical / health condition. All guests must know their own limitations and assumes all risks associated with any activities in which they may engage.
Cancellation Policy for Sanctuary Experiences
I understand that 48 hours’ notice is required to reschedule or cancel appointments. If I decide to cancel or reschedule my appointment within those 48 hours, I agree to pay a $45 cancellation fee.
I understand that showing up late for an appointment means I am reducing the amount of time I have booked. I also understand I am fully paying for the service I have booked. The Owner does not adjust appointment times based on when you show up. Appointments start and finish when they are scheduled.
